How long have you been in Greenville? Three years
Most interesting fact about you: I prefer the icing on the cake over the cake itself. My symbol for that is Icing > Cake.
Your background: I grew up in New Jersey and went to school in Staten Island. My husband and I then moved to California to pursue "big corporate dreams" but we found ourselves feeling trapped. We came to visit GVL for Thanksgiving (my mom lives here) and fell in love with the downtown. Downtown was captivating (good food, great shops, and Falls Park). There's an abundance of nature in proximity to the city. Two months after our visit, we found ourselves making our way cross-country to build a home in Greenville.
I believe that for those who move from somewhere else, there's a group for you to join where you can make friends. In my case, I love the foodie scene. In just three short years, I feel totally connected to the plant based food community. Here, a person doesn't have to be labeled by a certain diet they follow. There is an inviting sort of confidence in the food community here.
Topsoil Supper Club hosted my recent favorite gathering of the food community.
