How long have you been in Greenville? My whole life.
Most interesting fact about you: I have a sincere appreciation for Southern Gospel Music. I lead my congregation at Scenic Hills Baptist Church.
Your background: Born and raised in Greenville. I attended Greenville High School where I received all-state honors in football.
I attended the University of South Carolina where I obtained both my undergraduate and masters degrees. I then served in the United States Army Reserves.
I served my first tenure as Sheriff from 1977 - 2001 and during that time was selected as the President of the National Sheriff's Association. I was appointed U.S. Marshal for the District of South Carolina by President George W. Bush in 2002 and served in that role until 2010.
In April 2018, I was appointed Sheriff of Greenville County by Governor Henry McMaster and I am still serving the great citizens of Greenville County in this role today. Currently reading or watching: Residence
Hobby: Golf and spending time with my grandchildren.
