How long have you been in Greenville? My wife and I moved here from Asheville about one year ago to open Moe's Original Bar B Que.

Most interesting fact about you: After culinary school, I was a pastry chef. That was my background - baking pastries. I never thought about barbeque as anything more than what you do on weekends and something your dad is good at.

Your background: I'm from the Birmingham, Alabama suburb called Trussville. Like most kids, I played in the woods a lot with my two brothers, went to baseball games, played sports.

My grandmother was an amazing cook and my grandfather was an amazing person. I learned a lot from them. I did not have a lot of love for food then - just liked most kids I preferred the kid's meals at McDonald's and anything sugary.

Years later, I really fell in love with food while camping with friends and traveling a lot. I love to eat, travel, and cook.

I love people cooking for me. I love to go to family gatherings where I don't have to cook. That's always more fun for me. I do love cooking a home.

We have a furry little dog named Mia. She's definitely a beloved family member.

Currently reading or watching: Rewatching Game of Thrones and my wife and I love Bones, Crime, Dateline. We watch a lot of Netflix. We binge watch tv whenever we can watch. I'm here at the restaurant everyday.

Hobby: Outside hiking with the dog, kayaking, and cooking. I do a lot of breads at home. I like sourdough.

Tagline/motto: To live each day as it's your last, enjoy it for what it is - day to day.

Who do you work for? Moe's Original Bar b Que

What is your day-to-day on the job? Come in, help open the restaurant, help anywhere I can. Keep up with the food, the menu. The food is the most important thing for me. If the food is consistently good, people will come back.

We truly believe in what we're doing. We're making really good barbque fresh every day. Every day, we make fresh food. We don't reheat, reuse. We have a gas wood pit, which allows us to do more high volume cooking each day.

How do you think Greenville would describe you in one word? Friendly

How would you describe Greenville in one word? Hot

Besides residence, where is your favorite Greenville morning hangout? North Main. My wife and walk our dog in the mornings. We love our neighborhood.

Besides residence, where is your favorite Greenville evening hangout? The Radio Room. It's more of an indulgence for myself.
