How long have you been in Greenville? 60 years

Most interesting fact about you: I am always happy. I'm just a happy person.

Your background: I went to Sullivan Street Elementary.

In the second or third grade, I went to Gower Elementary and then Hattie Duckett Elementary. It is where the Fine Arts Center is now.

Hattie Duckett was an all-black elementary school. The lady that they named it after was an activist back then.

We forget a lot about history. That lady [Duckett] was history.

History to me means a lot, and she did a lot.

Greenville hasn't always been right with history but I'll tell you something.

Greenville is one of the best places to live.

The people, I mean the people are just awesome.

We are going to have our differences but I love the people here.

I don't know what it is. I love Greenville.

I went to USC for three years but I couldn't finish college and stay away from Greenville.

Every weekend and every summer I was back in Greenville.

I would not want to stay anywhere else in the world.

Hobby: I really want to join the Church Choir.

Who do you work for? Dixie Restaurant. I've been there for 32 years. It is on Wade Hampton and it is awesome. It is not this 'big Hyatt' type of food.

It is a small little place. I don't know how many people we seat but we will get you in. Come and see us. We welcome everyone.

What is your day-to-day on the job? I am a waiter.

How do you think Greenville would describe you in one word? Probably a jerk [laughs]. No, I don't know. I stay out of trouble so I would say welcoming.

How would you describe Greenville in one word? Growing

Besides residence, where is your favorite Greenville morning hangout? Work [Dixie Restaurant]
